What if that lie was compounded by the singular truth it wasn't actually a lie at all, but that it all never existed in the first place? What sort of horrible nightmare would that be for a teenaged girl discovering that for herself? Would she choose to sink...or swim?
Jessie Gavina is a fifteen year old girl living in rural Pennsylvania and she's got a secret. A big one. She can see and interact with hordes of creatures that no one else can. However, that soon changes for her when she meets a boy named Michael on her way to school one day and eventually learns that he, too, can see and interact with the same creatures she does. As time goes on, she enters the world of Io'Quae (pronounced as Ee-Oh-Quay) and comes face-to-face with the tyrannical White Crown, a young queen hellbent on ruling the whole of the magical world with her iron fist of terror. Jessie discovers, to her horror, that she also has powerful almost-God like psionic power as well. Banding together with her friends from the surrounding lands, Jessie decides to help them in their fight for freedom, but not all is what it seems in Jessie's world and the truth of who and what she is will soon be revealed to her. Will she rise or fall when faced with the truth?
