What is reality? I was John-now Charlie, a woman with a VR game tester's cunning and a professional whiskey enthusiast's attitude. But then AIs have risen, and my job evaporated faster than last night's drink. Just when I hit rock bottom, this punk kid-barely old enough to shave-dropped a bombshell: "Reality's just a simulation." Sure, buddy. I laughed it off. Until I woke up twenty years in the past. Now, thanks to a hacking mishap, I'm a regular girl in reality-with a debt and an attitude-navigating Rimelion, the VR game I once mastered, as Charlie, an elven priestess with more than a few tricks up her sleeve. Seriously though, fighting in high heels? Will I claw my way up the nobility ladder? Dominate the rankings? Outwit the government and their plans to exploit us all? Maybe. But something's off. The game feels too real. My memories don't line up, and everyone has their own version of what's true. Simulation? Reality? The lines are a blur-and I'm stuck in the middle. If I want to stop a dystopian future, I'll need allies, both in-game and out. Oh, and avoid ticking off the AIs hunting me for bending the rules. A world where Dexter deshawn doesn't kill her. A world where she zeroed herself, what a fucking idiot. --- This story features a soft depressed v with anxiety. She's very nervous almost all the time. She's also struggling horribly with the loss of Jackie. And johnny silverhand is a bit of a softie in this as well, he's more nice to v and more jokester. He has a soft spot for v in this story. He isn't a asshole (sometimes he is) and he tries his best to take care of v. So please don't read, if you don't like that. My end goal is at least 40-50 chapters. And this story isn't perfect at all, by any means. Has spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes and some things don't make sense.

A gas spreads through the city making everyone pass out. When they wake up everyone's memories and their knowledge of the current world are gone. All accept for one teenager named Ben Foster, who slowly gets his memories back to him as he wonders around the city. The question is: Who created this gas and why was it dropped in New York?Complete

The future is far beyond us. It does not exist. When an oblivious idiot takes credit for the invention of the third (and best functioning) model of the RCA, no one even so much as bats an eye, distraction. These models are the best of the best, at everything. Their muscle flexibility is 93% of ours, effectively eliminating non-realistic movement. They have software controlling their vocal output so that what they say always makes perfect sense, even in pronunciation. Everyone agrees on one thing: If they had a heart, they'd be just about human. And that's just it. Somewhere out there, the original prototype is running about, disguising himself as a normal gen3 RCA, when in reality, he's the only non-organic thing on earth to have emotion, and thought. The other RCAS are programmed to identify him as an immediate danger to the public. So he's always moving around. Looking for the finish to his one computer-made script, aptly called 'fate'. He will find it, and it must be complete.Complete

But all of that will change when this city meets the mysterious man in a rabbit mask armed with the most powerful cyberware in the entire city, taking down big gang leaders. Cyberpunk AU set after the events of the game - You grew up with V, but parted ways when your moving up in the world caused a falling out between the two of you; you hadn't spoken in years. One day your phone rings as her name and face flash across your peripheral, she has a favor to ask: she needs you to help someone through some hard times, let him lay low, stay in one of your spare rooms while he figures some things out. You don't ask too many questions, trusting V's word even with your rocky history. However, when she arrives on your doorstep with an extremely attractive older man with very expensive cyberware, you realize you may have gotten more than you bargained for. Your job is... complicated, and had prepared you for a lot of things, but having Goro Takemura living under the same roof may prove to be the ultimate test.Complete
