Love is a powerful word. A word used to describe the intense feeling of deep affection. Sometimes, love between two people can ignite once given time together. I use this word wisely, and only when I know it is true. And boy do I love her. This my friend, is no misdemeanor. You may call it a crime, a felony, a rebellion against what is right... Yes, many have... but I have been aware of the hardships to come when you love a girl even though you're one yourself. I am not ashamed of who I am, and I will win the warfare of my pride.

I do not wish to diminish in any way the important role of the gay liberation movement, the point I'm making is a reflection on how this generous and initially noble action has been tinted by fanatism and dogmatism. We may not hit each other but the power of words has been used constantly against each other diminishing, offending and alienating us.
