Kumichi Tyna is the daughter of a shinigami and a human. During one summer she goes to visit her grandmother, a former shinigami who has invented a medicine that makes it so ghosts may stay on earth without ever turning into hollows.
But on the way there a truck is ran into Tyna's car and her mother and brother die.
More than that, some shinigami come and end up sending them to soul society where she can never see them again.
Tyna is driven by revenge and vows to destroy all shinigami, including her father.
But will she join the wrong people?
