Romance
"I- I think I should marry you instead!" She cried as a drop of tear rolled from her eyes, making its way down her cheek. Her tear-stricken face was decorated with smudged mascara now and her hands were still grasping the front of his suit tightly- like she didn't want to let him go. He was taken back for a second; her words finally sinking in. A dark and selfish part of him desperately wanted to agree with her. But the other side of him realised he'd be stabbing his bestfriend in the back for taking her, even though she was the only one he ever wanted. He still could feel her in his arms. She was still crying and crying, more beads of tears rolled from her baby blues and God he couldn't take this. Whatever 'this' thing was, it was so wrong. When her crying finally subsided then she realised he was still. Very still that it made her look up. His face was -dark, stony, cold, and so unlike him- "Don't be dumb." In that moment, she could hear her heart broke into pieces.

"I can't even describe it..." I trail off. How can I tell him? Don't you dare, I remind myself. Don't you dare tell him. You'll ruin it. "You can tell me anything. I promise." Why does he have to be so amazing? Why does he have to have that perfect smile, soft hair, and those bottomless eyes? Why do I have to like him? Why can't he be ugly? "Hey, are you okay?" He asks gently. I wipe my eyes, which had unfortunately decided to cry right then and there, and there's no stopping the waterworks. I sob into his shirt at the unfairness of it all, and he lets me, because he's my best friend. Don't you dare tell him. Don't you dare.
