"I- I think I should marry you instead!" She cried as a drop of tear rolled from her eyes, making its way down her cheek. Her tear-stricken face was decorated with smudged mascara now and her hands were still grasping the front of his suit tightly- like she didn't want to let him go.

He was taken back for a second; her words finally sinking in. A dark and selfish part of him desperately wanted to agree with her. But the other side of him realised he'd be stabbing his bestfriend in the back for taking her, even though she was the only one he ever wanted. 

He still could feel her in his arms. She was still crying and crying, more beads of tears rolled from her baby blues and God he couldn't take this. Whatever 'this' thing was, it was so wrong.

When her crying finally subsided then she realised he was still. Very still that it  made her look up. His face was -dark, stony, cold, and so unlike him- 

"Don't be dumb." 

In that moment, she could hear her heart broke into pieces.
