I was given 10 REAL articles covering the Rwanda crisis in 1994. I was then told to write a short journal entry for each articles pretending that I was actually someone in Rwanda during that time. I had to write about the issue that the article talked about for that day. You could have chosen to be who ever you wanted to be as long as you stayed consistent on your background story. I thought this was a very fun assignment and very educational.  So I am going to link a YouTube video that does an amazing job of explaining the kind of problems that people were facing in Rwanda. It is really short and simple. I will also show a link for the articles in case one of y'all want to read them. This is a historical short story of a middle aged woman who is a Tutsi as told through a diary. This is something worth reading. Hope you enjoy and if I get anything historically wrong; my apologizes.
