Lycia is your average teenage girl, she is brave and strong but is one to get hurt easily. When her mother finally gets her promotion she is forced to leave her friends and family behind to move to California. At first everything is looking up, the house they move into is one to die for and she's already made friends with the girl next door. However, everything changes when her mother gets a phone call off her twin sister Vanessa who is in tears after finding out their father has been in a car crash which leads to the death of him, and the trigger to her depression. Vanessa ends up moving to California with Lycia and her mother and they both start school. Do the twin sisters struggle to make friends at school?
