Gracie, half-angel, half-human, created by the mixture of Sam's soul and Lucifer's grace, is taken care of by the father of murder, Cain. He finds it in himself to keep her safe by bringing her to one of her father's, Sam. Gracie and Cain now live in the bunker with the Winchesters, where they're trying to give Gracie a normal life.
