Some people in the world are lucky. They have family, friends, good health, money, they are surrounded by happiness. I'm not saying that others can't be happy because they don't have all those things, because they can, it just doesn't come quite as easily.
Lavender used to be one of the lucky ones, with a loving family, lots of friends, good health and money. Happiness followed her wherever she went- until she was diagnosed with Melanoma, a type of skin cancer that changed her life, and her attitude towards it.

I Fell in Love with a Bad Boy
CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. The Girls with the Flame Tattoos
In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. I mean yeah, I knew something was wrong me because I was starting to lose patches of my hair, but I thought it was because of stress, The thought of having cancer never came into mind. Ever since I received the news, I really felt depressed. I mean, who wouldn't feel that way? Usually I'd stay up in my room all day bundled up under my covers watching rom-coms on repeat and crying because I'd be thinking about how I would be dying in just a few months-- or years. No one knows when the time is going to come. But that's when I met my best friend-- Ashton Williams. He once told me one day when I was doing the usual (sitting in my room watching rom-coms on repeat while crying) to live a little before the day I die. I took his advice, and wow, let's say I'm extremely glad for him telling me that... Because there's a first time for everything when it comes to making a bucket list.Concluida
