Rockport High School is on the verge of getting their school closed and merging with Fulton High School which is a way bigger school. The Lady Pirates Softball Team has won fifteen state championships and with there school closing down after this year they definitely need to prove themselves that they are still alive and not dead. In walks Alexis "Lexi" Caldwell who has just moved to Rockport, Texas with her dad. She hasn't stepped on the softball field since her mom died two years ago. Lexi was an amazing pitcher and batter. She loved the sport, but when her mom died she just couldn't play it without her mom being in the stands. Maybe this move is just what she needs. She will get the chance to show everyone what she is made of. Along the way she meets friends and maybe a boyfriend, who plays baseball and he shows her the way to the light and that there isn't anything to stand in her way. Lexi Caldwell has to prove to everyone that she belongs on that field with her teammates and help them get to their sixteenth state championship in their final season.
