The light was metres from me, I remember my phone being lost from my hand as my mouth looked on agape. My body was just... crumpled, motionless. A figure emerged from the car on the otherwise empty road and approached me, my head turned to the side to inspect the person. They towered over me, their voice was muffled by the rain although I made out a glimmer of a phone screen at their ear. I can remember in between the bursts of words I made out an angered, "Fucking hell." It was a man I deducted from the voice. Helplessly, I turned my head upwards to admire the night... The rain today was fitting I thought as I looked up to the soulless sky. -- Modern day, in an age where titans nor the walls exist--
