Castiel has never had the ability to use his legs. He was born paralyzed from the waist and down. No matter how many faith healers he went to, or how many prayers he sent up to God, Castiel would never get his legs to move. He'd never feel grass between his toes. He'd never walk. He'd never run.
The only job Castiel managed to get was at the photography shop. He's photographed every inch of his small town. But now, he has a new muse for his work, and it's called Dean Winchester.
