**This is a fictional story based off of the poem " The Hangman", as well as the song "The Hangman's Body Count" (which was also based off of the poem). **
Cynder, whom is 17, lives in a small town; very quiet and calm. But the silence is interrupted when the raven's caws deafen the citizens of the town, and the tranquil ground is disrupted by the heavy boots that belong to a very tall man-- The Hangman. The Hangman, surprisingly only 19, falls in love with Cynder, and does everything he can to repay his sins.

But ... once his bright eyes meet Roman's dark eyes, what he has always known and believed in suddenly shatters into shreds and, to have that man with a dark and dangerously attractive aura, he is willing to cross and surpass his limits.
