When Phil gets into the huge car crash that almost kills his life, the crash had damaged a quarter of Phil's brain which made him act similar to how a child would. The doctors moved Phil to a mental ill hospital, knowing Phil would never get better. Dan following behind Phil, visited him every day and night, sleeping at the hospital at every chance he could get. He refuses to give up on the fact that Phil is slowly dying, spending all the time he could with him.
Phil adores Dan, but he doesn't realize why Dan is upset some of the time he's with him. Phil doesn't realize his sickness, and when he does will it be to late?
