Now, I'm sure you've all heard stupid stories about the nerdy girl in school. Does all her work on time, never skips school, doesn't party, drink, do drugs, or sleep around. And, you probably think "That's a bunch of bullshit." Right? Well, guess what that was me. Carmen Burkley. I was the kind of girl who did just about everything she was told. I didn't wear pounds and pounds of makeup like the other girls. And, the only time I spent in front of a mirror was when my best friend, Beverley was forcing me to stand there while she made me look "presentable" as she called it. Until the unthinkable happened. I discovered my wild side. And, suddenly everything changed.

In the complicated jungle which we call high school one can find jocks, cheer leaders, Goths, nerds, athletes' etc. etc. and then there's me. Brittney Matthews. I would be described as the unimportant girl who keeps out of everyone's way and keeps to herself. It's not quite fun to be classified as 'unimportant' but its not hard to remove such status at West Point High. Make one mistake and you're scarred for the rest of your high school days. "Jess, would you please get his order." Lisa winked at me and pointed the guy near the door. She is my one and only bestfriend since kindergarten. "Okay." I wore my waitress apron and put my phone and car keys on the pocket. I dragged myself to the guy's table to get his order. "Good Morning, Sir. Can I take your order?" The guy put the menu down on the table and he's checking me out! Jerk. "I'll just have the waitress in front me. Name your price." He winked at me. "Jerk!" I got the glass of water from the other table and poured it from his head to his pants so that it looked like that he'd pee on it and I stormed out from the restaurant. I Fell in Love with a Bad Boy
CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy.
