Kellin Quinn is an 18 year old boy, struggling to graduate and escape high school. He has an abusive step father, and is bullied constantly at school. The only person he has to turn to is his best friend, Vic Fuentes.
Vic Fuentes, who is also 18, is struggling with depression. That doesn't help the fact that he gets bullied at school for being gay. Vic lost almost everyone, except for his best friend, Kellin Quinn.
One day, when Vic needs him most, Kellin does something that could destroy everything. Will Vic be able to help Kellin? If he does, will they finally admit to each other how they feel?
Kellin Quinn had a traumatic upbringing and since has had a hard time staying out of his head. He is sickened by what he loves, and despite trying so hard to heal, he constantly falls back into old habits.
Filled with anxiety about going away to college and the pressures of the past, Kellin is about to break, until he meets his roommate, Vic Fuentes, who is completely and permanently blind.
After a life of self sabotage, Kellin must find his way to self acceptance and accept that things aren't always black and white.
