After overpopulation became a global issue, the governments came together to make a law. One child is allowed per house. If you have more than one child? They become rejects, left to wander abandoned towns, and fend for themselves.
Adriana is a normal fifteen year old girl...except she's a reject, left with her best friend, her brother, and her brother's best friend. She decided to leave the dig two years early so she could stay with her brother. Evdokia, her best friend, leaves with her along with her brother, Harley, and his friend, Reece. Together they bond, live, and survive.

I ran downstairs into the living room, my heart pounding as I found all my brothers gathered around Nefeli. Her eyes were frantic, scanning the room, desperately searching for me.
