Basically it's a love story about a woman who gets into a severe car crash and experiences retrograde amnesia. She had a long time boyfriend before whom she tragically can't remember. However she meets a rather dashing young man who happens to be her nurse for the time being until she leaves the hospital.
Amidst the chaos her mother accidentally overdoses on depression medication due to her daughters tragic memory loss and dies.
Later in life her memories all come back to her and she goes crazy. She is sent to mental institution in which her old boyfriend will attempt to break her out.
