The Beginning of the End

In the small town of Kingsford County, Mira Campbell is known as the girl who can never seem to catch a break. Starting with her parents' death and everyone finding out she's crazy, she's turned into a social pariah. The only thing keeping her sane is her incredible talent for the piano.

After going through intense rehabilitation, the one person who stood by her was taken away and Mira's life begins to fall apart again. But when a group of adults come to her school and ask Mira and three other students to join a select group of teenagers and participate in the STAR Project, she hastily accepts, grateful for the chance to do something other than mope around.

But unbeknownst to Mira, staying home and being miserable is ironically the better option.
