To my almost,

You were a journey. You were my page 217 of my 434-page-book. You were my countdown before New Year; you were my three-days-before-the-class-begin-love. You were my waiting-for-a-train moment but when it arrived, it didn't go somewhere I expected to. I didn't come home to where I supposed to go.

Almost. You were almost here. You were almost my destination. You were almost my happy ending. You were almost my New Year or everything that I was waiting for. You were almost my home.

But you weren't.

They say it is the saddest word in the dictionary. Almost. You almost loved me. You almost fought for me. We almost had it.

But we didn't.
