It was the start of our High school Pro bowl dream team. That is where the two coaches pick the best of the best football players in Wisconsin to play on their team. The coaches are Coach Griffin and Coach Bart. Personally I like Coach Griffin more he is strict and cool at the same time. Coach Bart is kind of a jerk. Anyways, So I went to the practice where the coaches see who they want and see how good you are and other stuff. We pick a number and I get number 15/15 WR. So I am the last one. Then Alex My friend comes up to me and says he got number 1. that is a lot of pressure being the first one but he went up and did really good. I watch as the other go and I think I might be the worst one out there. Finally its my turn and I state my name and my high school. they say OK and tell me to just go out and run a Hail Mary. I thought that would be hard because at the same time the Quarner backs are trying out so they have to cover us. I started to run and there was three defenders on me and I knew this could either go two ways. Really good or really bad. I am running down the field and look back and see the ball coming towards me. As I reach the 5 yard line I jump into the air and catch the ball with my left hand and finishing it by landing on my feet and getting the touchdown. After that I fell on my back because i got tackled and then the defender gets up and helps me up. Then he says, "Nice catch!" I said thanks then got up and walked over to my spot and Alex told me I did amazing. So I went over to Anthony and asked him how well he thought he did. He said not to good. He apparently dropped a slant pass while being wide open. Then Alex, Anthony, And I went over to watch the running backs. And surprisingly when we went their it was Qwade's turn. he is pretty fast. not as fast as me but close. He got a pitch play at the first yard line and juked a defender out and got the touchdown. All three of us cheered for him, and gave him a high five when he came back

Katiya Carpenter was born and raised in a perfectly small beach town. She spent her summers with the well-off "summer kids" and her best friends, she worked at the diner, and was top of her class. Life was good, until it wasn't. Eventually, Kate finds herself cheated on and unsure of her future. Until the Michaels move into town for the summer. And it might just happen that Jackson Michaels is exactly what she needs. ----------- I turned back to my friends, my eyes instantly running into Jack's. He was standing in front of the bleachers with Hendricks and a few other guys, talking to Genny. Jack was staring at me, as soon as I turned he flipped his head the other way. But it was too late. "Jack, right?" I said, smiling and getting his attention. "Yeah. You're Katiya, Kate." He gave me a dazzling smile. It made me smile back at him. "I mean, most people just pick one of the options, not both." He chuckled a little and took a step towards me. "Both is good. Who are you here to see?" He asked, looking around, and past me. "Nobody in particular." I seemed to say easily, even though I was in fact, here to watch Jason and my dad. "I mean, everyone. I know a lot of people. Small town." I tried to correct myself immediately, and I noticed Hannah holding back laughter as I stumbled on my words. "Gotcha." He said, still smiling wide and taking a glance back at the field. "Good to see you again, Katiya Kate." This time he said it as if it were one word. It made me smile on the inside. He turned and jogged back towards his team. I was such an idiot.
