A disease broke out where only grown-ups were infected. Kids 14 and under were safe. The disease made the grown-ups flesh eating zombies. Kids would just wake up and get attacked by their parents, just like Kevin and his sister, Lissette. Thier mother attacked them, and Kevin had to put a knife through her heart, never forgetting her face when she died. It's moments like these that make me feel like my soul is entangled with his. Every jagged edge dripping with blood that killed the child in me has a home against one of his, which have slowly healed into each other. Huh. Maybe that's just it.
