A 16-year-old girl named Ashlyn is starting her first day at Hillside Academy and she is really excited. But also really nervous - when she was younger, she was told to keep her ability secret and was called a demon. Her ability is a bit... particular. What exactly is Hillside Academy? You may ask. Well, let's start at the very beginning: In this time on earth, everybody has a special, supernatural ability and they are also put in ranks because of their said abilities. And because many people cannot seem to get control of their ability, there are special schools.
