Dia 30. Inverno 709 DT. Minha querida Lisa. Primeiro quero me desculpar por não escrever por um certo tempo, estivemos cercados por inúmeros soldados inimigos nossos cercaram a gente, as forças dos Gold Souls não param. Não importa quantas batalhas lutemos, sempre vem mais e mais soldados contratados por eles. O coronel disse que nós estamos próximos de ganhar a guerra. Eu acredito nele, porem infelizmente não posso dizer o mesmo dos soldados. Eles temem pela suas vidas, assim como eu temo pela minha vira, porém não temo meus inimigos, mas sim meus próprios homens. Ouvi rumores de que eles estão tentando me matar para fugirem do fronte de batalha, porem os tolos mal sabem que se fizerem isso serram caçados por desertores. O medo pode ocorrer o coração de até o mais justos e corajoso dos homens. Porém não o meu, pois eu estou sempre pensando em você, e em nosso querido filho Beleck. Vocês são a razão de eu voltar vivo de todas a lutas, eu penso em vocês todas a noites e em todas as manhãs... Eu prometo que voltou para vocês o mais cedo que puder. Com muito amor.
