Her skin crawled at the gloominess the house projected. Even though the sun warmed the air, the house appeared damp, as if it had never experienced the heat and light and was left to rot in the shadows of darkness. Mary was right; it surely looked like an old castle that adorned rows and rows of windows in all the three floors. Dwelling in a vase space, there was no doubt, the owners had neglected it for many years as the forestry of weeds surrounded the entire path and the fragile walls clearly devoured by constant ignorance. A thin layer of mist circled the premise into a shade of elusiveness as if concealing it from the vigilant eyes of the unknown.

The Long Walk Home

21 parti Completa Per adulti

IT lets go of me, my head hits the ground again, no sound echos this time. IT's mouth movies, but my ears ring, so I can't hear IT. Everything is blurry and movies too much. I can't focus on anything. IT looks at me, IT's eyes are all gray. IT smirks and stands all of the way up, towering over me. I pull myself up and wobble away from IT on unsteady feet. I look back to see IT laughing, watching me walk away. I can't hear her terrible laughter, and I don't want... to... I fall over, feeling woozy. My head spins and I sway as I try to stand. I look back again, to see that the fog has covered my path, and I can only see a couple of inches away from my face. I blow out air and fall over. * * * * 13 year old Colten, takes a shortcut through the field next to his house on his way home. But why can't he reach his destination?
