A low growl rumbled out of the shadow and a large mass started forward slowly. My breathing stopped as the thing caught a patch of moonlight. There before me was a wolf. It slowly prowled forward as I stood the frozen. It stepped on another branch only a coupe feet away form me. The noise snapped me out of my paralysis. I tried to back peddle and dodge around it. I had only taken two steps to the side when he moved to stand in front of me, a strange glitter lit its keen eyes. I froze and stood ramrod straight as the creature leaned forward and sniffed me slightly. It let loose another set of low purr growl hybrids, and I could feel it's hot pants flood over my face as I flinched back further into myself. Today, I was sure, was the day I die.
