There r a lots of although n buts in her world.Always wanting to be her parents reason to be proud off was her real motive but for some reason when she came across him she didn't want to care about what others would say or think she wanted to snuggle in his arm, the smell of his cologne, the feel of protectiveness near him was making her loose control over her conscious mind.
