Amos is born an EPI human ( enhanced physical and intellectual). That couldn't help when his dad was brutally murdered in front of him when he was 7 years old. As result of that Amos' mother brought him to the same clan his father trained at to also become a police officer. Well that's what his mom thought instead his true intention is to find and kill his dad's killer. Amos will do any thing to avenge his father even losing his own mortality in the process.
