This is the tale of Katara and Sokka's younger sister, Kya. She was 2 years old when they lost their mother in a Firenation raid. Katara was 10 and Sokka 11. A year after they lost their mother, their father and the men of their tribe left to make a difference in the war. Thus, causing the little girl to have no memories of noth her parents since she was so young. Two years after her father left, at the age of 5, something miraculous happened. Sokka and Katara found the Avatar in an iceberg. Follow the story of this young girl on happiness, sadness, betrayal and friendship. Book 1 - Water

Avatar: the Last Airbender Fanfiction Zuko x OC Makki is the twin sister of Sokka and the older sister of Katara. She is one of the last Southern water benders, along with her sister. At the age of ten, she lost her mother in a Fire Nation raid, right at the South Pole; all she has left is her mother's necklace, which Katara wears around her neck. After that, her father left to fight in the Hundred Year War, along with all the other grown warriors, and Makki and her siblings were put under the care of their Gran Gran. She grew up practicing her bending and helping Katara with all the chores, while their brother practiced his fighting skills and tried teaching the younger boys of their village. Makki's siblings followed their destiny of helping Aang master all four elements while Makki was stuck on a path with the Fire Nation Prince Zuko and his uncle Iroh. When Makki, Zuko, and Iroh became fugitives from the Fire Nation and refugees inside the Earth Kingdom, Makki had no choice but to help the lost prince find his way onto the right path. But in the end, Makki will find that it's tougher work than she first anticipated, though, she figures out how to connect with the prince and may even develop feelings for him.
