An idea that came into my head after seeing multiple fan-art pictures for the mobile game "Ingress" developed by Google.
Story:
What if the Enlightened somehow managed to harness the power of the portals and weaponized it. They then proceeded to take over the world (a bit cliché I know). The Enlightened is now the central government of the world. And obviously, the resistance has to stop them.

The Over Realm. You all know it right? It has people, strange creatures, and dangerous monsters. This world also holds dense forests, vast hot deserts as far as the eye can see, and the great frozen ice mountains of the north. This realm also holds powers in a glove shaped body known as Primary Gauntlets. The legendary Gauntlet Guardians protect these from the bad hands. And if they don't, you know it'll be the end of the world as you know it. The strongest of the bunch is called The Enchanted Gaunlet. It was too powerful for the guardians, so they gave it to Notch, the guardian of the Over Realm. But there is a great evil lurking in the shadows. The king of the Nether Realm trained his army hard and well. one night, Goliath, the Nether king raided Notch's kingdom. He couldn't protect it because he was battling the mystical Ender Dragon with his wife. Sadly, there were no survivors in the attack, and Notch and his wife got eaten by the dragon. But two people found a child buried in ashes of his kingdom. They took him to Nexus. Who will have the strength, courage, and bravery to stop Goliath, and finish the deed of slaying the Ender Dragon?Lengkap

Even after the death of the Monarch of the Abyss the world is far from stable or safe, what remains of humanity lives inside a singular city, protected by a handful of sworn heroes, monsters lurk outside, remnants of that awful day. Forty years later a new hero appears, bearing a scarily familiar power, he'll endure many burdens in a bid to learn more about himself and those he works with in this corrupt society where heroes are revered as gods among men and all logic is replaced with propaganda. A threat from within their own walls threatens to tear humanity apart from the shadows, the heroes will need to overcome both the monsters beyond their walls and threats from their own people in order to prevail, humanity's fate will soon be at hand, will it be salvation or oblivion?
Escape from Whitestone Hold
When tensions flare into an-all out rebellion, Sapphira's hometown is turned into a city-wide warzone. The Magistrate are ruthless in restoring order within the blood-soaked walls, catching civilians in the crossfire. Hope is scarce. What more is there to do but flee with what survivors remain? This is a spinoff backstory for a D&D campaign based in the world from "Paladins: Champions of the Realm." Plenty of intellectual rights shenanigans here that I'm not smart enough to address, but it's all in fun. When writing I kept the theme from D&D world of "letting the characters choose wrong/useless paths to explore" as an unnecessary rule imposed on myself, which took more effort than I expected due to sidetracks, but I still enjoy the story that resulted. The Splice of The Realms
In a world divided into four groups, there is a role for everyone. Every group has their own realm found in each corner of the country they share. The top right corner has the largest population. There lives the people of the Mystery Realm (M.R.) They're the police force, detectives and prosecutors. They're the only realm which carries weapons of any kind. However, they don't kill. While they do value law and order, they don't like violence and tend to avoid it. The bottom left corner has the second largest population. The people there are born with unique powers. They're called the Supernatural Realm (S.R.) They tend to be optimistic and stubborn. They value relationships and would do anything to keep the people they love safe. The top left and bottom right corners are tied in regards to population, however, that is the only thing they share in common. These two realms couldn't be more different. In the top left corner is the society of the Technologically Enhanced Realm (T.E.R.) The people here develop technology the other realms could only dream of. They don't socialize with others and tend to keep to themselves. They understand complex equations and theories, however, they have a hard time understanding human emotion. Finally, in the bottom right corner lives the peaceful and happy people of the Primitive Harmony Realm (P.H.R.) The people here lead a simple life and believe in nature and its gifts. Because of that, they were blessed with healing abilities and elemental gifts. Additionally, the herbs they grow are just as magical as the people themselves. Their carefree and charismatic tendencies cause them to always believe the best in people, even when they shouldn't. For years everyone stuck to their roles and never tried to become anything else-until one day, everything changed...Lengkap
