Layla Bloom had everything. She had money, popularity in school, and all the men she could ever want. However, having all these luxuries doesn't make her a good hearted person. Layla hates those who talk badly about her behind her back or call her a jerk. She especially hates nonsense and everything of the supernatural. That is why she hated the Monster Hunters, a group of geeks and nerds who believe in the world of the supernatural. Well she did, until her life went to hell. From one foolish act, Layla will be plunged into a world she has never knew existed before. She will lose almost everything, including her respect in school. Layla will become an outcast, realizing her flaws and becoming a better person from her experiences. With the many discovered secrets Layla has discovered, she will have no choice but to make peace with her past group of enemies, the Monster Hunters. Helen's parents demand that she marry the man they've chosen for her or be disowned. She chooses to be disowned. But that isn't good enough for them. They make sure that she either doesn't get jobs or they make sure that she gets fired from them. She loses her apartment and all her things do to them. They are sure that she'll give in and marry the man they've chosen rather than live on the streets. But then again, they've never really paid much attention to their daughter unless they wanted something from her. Helen would rather live on the streets and eat out of garbage dumpsters then return to her parents and marry the man that would make her life a living hell. At least on the streets she's free. She might starve or freeze to death but she'll be free. Then one day three men come after her, intent on forcing her and beating her for what little she has. Before one of them does more than grab her arm the three are gone. Helen looks down and finds them on the ground with their hearts torn out of the bodies. She looks at the person that did that in horror but then her sight goes black.
