Badgerpaw is a young, ambitious, normal apprentice. That is, until her brother saves her from a fox and looses a leg. Ever since then, she knows it's her fault that her brother now has to be a medicine cat. Whenever she is around, a black animal will attack a cat of her clan. A black horse tramples an apprentice, a black dog slashes a senior warrior, and even a black wolf takes one of her leaders lives
As her apprenticeship ends and she becomes a warrior, a terrible threat is now looming over the moor; a prophecy. A prophecy that predicts;
"Shadows cover all the life,
Only few survive the strife.
If you choice just to ignore,
Life as you know it will be no more.
Only when you accept your fate,
May your lives be put straight,
But if you push away your powers,
Your lives will last only hours."
