A team of some of the brightest scientists began to try to physically and mentally enhance human beings, giving them powers of sorts. But nearly everyone of their trial runs have failed. Hal Greene is marked as unenhanced. His trial was a fail, but he managed to survive unlike the others. And Hal hopes to keep them thinking that, at least for another year. Then he's able to leave home, and get as far away as possible....but it seems that fate has another plan for him.All Rights Reserved

He's eventually introduced to the rest of the gifted, he explains to Hallie his time in isolation, not understanding how important he's become. The doctors and therapists are keeping many things from the gifted, and with the help of Finn, Hallie's going to figure out what.

After being saved he suddenly can see numbers floating above everyone he passes by and quickly figured out that those numbers represent the lifespan of that person counting down in seconds. He finds someone who's numbers are lower than everyone else's and realizes he is going to die within a couple of hours. He choices to stay with him as he watches the numbers count down, and hopefully by the time those numbers reach 0, he will be able to stop whatever is going to kill him and save his life.
