Park Ruth takes a break from traveling the world with her parents and attend Seoul Academy. Life without parents, with piles of homework, and no friends takes the best out of everyone. Ruth is alone and tired and doesn't see the bright side anymore. Her frequent trips to the school bookstore cause her to find a leftover notebook paper in an odd book. Music and books is her escape from everything. Words and a soothing voice with smoothe lyrics. That's all she wants.
When her teachers assigns a creative writing project based on a Shakespeare quote, Ruth is at a loss for inspiriation. Nothing sparks her imagination. Until she thought the only smooth voices she had were on her iPod. Theres a voice lurking through the campus; humming, mumbling, talking, laughing. It seems like Ruth can hear the voice from a mile away at times. When she looked for the voice, she couldn't find it. It only sang to her when she least expected it.
Park Ruth reads, writes, and listens to her music. And eats her food.
Do Kyungsoo sings, writes lyrics, and listens to his homemade demos. And hangs out with his friends.
The girl searches for the voice lingering in the back of her mind.
The boy anticipates the moment he can get out of school, into a studio, and on stage for thousands.
She's on the brink of insanity.
He's oblvious to everything but his music and lyrics.
"24th. December. 2000."
Do Kyungsoo is just a simple college student who works part-time at a local record store. His life was ordinary, peaceful, and sometimes boring.
Until he meets a girl who, not so surprisingly, turns his boring days into exciting ones.
But it wasn't in the way he expected.
The girl is different. Very different from the rest of the people he knows.
She isn't ordinary, or typical. Or even normal.
She is a mysterious being and Kyungsoo would have to dig deeper if he wants to know the truth about her.
Or rather, the truth about her disappearance.
