Annabeth is the daughter of a baker in Athens. Percy is the Prince of Atlantis. There's no way the two of them have ever met before, right?
But here's the thing, Percy's pretty sure he knew her before her home went up in flames. The only thing he can't figure out is how.
**This used to be called 'Down in Flames, Saved by the Water' but it has been completely rewritten. And I mean completely. The original story was written in 2016 and since I've progressed as a writer, I've decided to rewrite it.**

Poseidon did offer the family the opportunity to live in the palace, but Percy's mother, Sally, politely refused saying she would rather earn her place in society and raise her son out of the public's eye. Thanks to this, Percy's managed to get away with causing so much chaos the city guards know him by name. What happens when these two suddenly come face to face?
