Pupa is the next heir to the changeling thrown, but she doesn't want to follow in her mother's hoofsteps. She runs away from the hive to find a way to feed without draining the host. She finds her way into Ponyvill. A place where she meets ponies that are extremely kind, funny, loyal, honest, generous and friendly. For the first time in her life she has friends, but what if they find out that she is a changeling?

The story starts out in our world and it's an ordinary day for the life of the writer. Until one day everything took a turn for the worse. Changelings and the mane 6 are in our world. The writer has a dream of a vision of what's to come but unclear of what it could mean. The writer followups on the dream vision and later becomes an ordinary Changeling and finds himself in Equestria. Wonders why the writer is in Equestria and what's the writers purpose in Equestria.
