Nights with a King

In the country of Qihou, young Annabelle Guo enters the King's harem as a courtesan. The girls are many but the King is singular which is why Annabelle makes the tough decision to never be discovered in fear of the rivalry and jealousy from the other girls. Dressing plainly and remaining in the background, she never calls attention to herself but fate has other plans for her. Unexpectedly, the King sees her dancing and becomes fascinated with her. Annabelle is caught between a rock and a hard place, at risk for displeasing the most powerful man in the country or getting sucked into the palace drama of power play and betrayal.
