She is struggling to do so as well as figuring out what to do about her mother, who is just a shell of a person now, and Danni is left to grieve alone. While dealing with her grief, an ex-shows up and tries to turn her already upside-down world into a greater mess than it already is. She finally opens up to people she trusts, and they start to act strangely towards her. She ends up having to turn to a stranger who just keeps showing up and somehow saves the day. The strange feeling she has for the stranger has her head in a mess, but she thinks it's mainly due to the lack of sleep caused by the strange dreams of a white wolf that haunts her nightly now.
