When Your Friends Are Your Enemies, Where Do You Turn?

We have a secret. It's hard to actually tell someone, but we know it's for the best. We're Elementalists. You heard right: we control different Elements. Charlotte controls Death. Scarlett controls Fire. Henry controls Water. At first, we were just as shocked as you probably are now. It's hard to explain, except for one detail: our 'English' teacher told us. To be honest at first it was horrible. To find out that your whole life up until one point has been a sham? It's like you're not even the same person anymore. But that was only the beginning…

Charlotte Hartnack was afraid of everything… except graveyards. In fact she thrived when she visited them. Her family thought she was just a demonic child. But it was a completely different story; she controls the Element of Death.

Scarlett Mason was a Pyromaniac. She loves fire. She always has. Her parents thought that it was just a phase that she'd grow out of. She never did. She was passionate, yes shy, she could control herself. But fire can't be controlled for long; she’d have to have to give up eventually, especially when she has to attempt to control Fire.

Henry Taylor was an amazing swimmer. He’d always loved the water. He thought that he just took after his parents: his father had been an Olympic Swimmer, and his mother was a swimming instructor. He never thought that it would be something different. He never thought that he'd be something different; he controls the Element of Water.

When Charlotte Hartnack goes missing, with only one clue as to how to save her, everything goes wrong. The Elementalists go into hiding, except Henry and Scarlett, who still don't believe in the Elements. Surely it was just a trick of their minds? Although they have never gotten along, they run away from it all, just to get captured themselves. They have to find a way to escape because Time is ticking, and Time is not on their side...
