James Mackington had been in a deep depression for years; his mother had been dead for years, his father had just been diagnosed with brain cancer, and his sister had been wrongfully put in prison. For years, James felt like his bad luck would never end. One night, while walking home from visiting his father at the hospital, a man walks up to James. The man says that he knows how to bring back James' mother, cure his fathers cancer, and find the person who committed the crime that James' sister was blamed for. The man then tells James that many people have attempted to complete the secret task, but all others have failed. Can James succeed where all others failed? He gets a phone call from his youngest daugther on the way home from school. She tell him she'll take the way through the forest, but promise to be careful. They say goodbye and hung up. But she never comes home. Adam report her missing. He gets another call later in the night from his husband. He tells me that Emily is in the hospital. She was found unconscious in the woods by the police. Luke says she has horrible nightmares about a man without a face. Adam and Vanessa quickly go to the hospital to be by her side. Three days later, Emily is allowed to return home. But she's not the same again. She has still nightmares and she see things that nobody else see. Adam and Luke are very worried about her. When Emily is accused of stabbing her classmate, they know they have to help her.
