His liver was failing.

There were no donors.

Eren will die if he doesn't get a donor, and right now, it's not looking so good for him.

Eren has two months to live, and those two months will be nothing except for Hospital walls and his family's and friends tears.

Levi, strong, healthy, but not content.

His mother has just passed away of a heart disease, and he's depressed. He doesn't want to live anymore.

What makes him go to he hospital to donate part of his liver? He didn't know.

Eren is surprised that someone would be willing to help him, so he begs and pleas to see his savior, who is non other, than Levi Ackerman.
