Death.
It’s such a simple word.
But sometimes it hits you.
Realization strikes.
Realization that death is inevitable. It can’t be solved, fixed, or prevented. Death is uncontrollable.
Sometimes the realization that death happens and it changes thing. Some people, people that can’t cope with death, believe that the dead will come back. That they’ll walk the same streets again. That they’ll reunite and chat again.
People take everything for granted. That is, until it’s snatched away.
November Sills was your typical teenage girl.
At least on the outside. But only two people knew the truth about her. About her death. About the things leading up to her death.
Jake and Josh.
But they’ll never tell. They can’t.
They had to pretend. Pretend that they knew only what the newspapers said. Pretend that they weren’t what they were. Pretend they weren’t involved with her death.
Pretend they were normal.

I could still feel the numbness in my limbs and the piercing pain on my shoulder as I tried to adjust my eyes to the light. There was a constant banging sound in my ear and it was slowly fading away. My vision was blurry and as i adjust my focus, i saw all four of my so called brothers in front of me. They all looked.....worried. I was still not used to their insane acting skills because for a sec i believed it. Maybe I was deceiving myself. What if they actually cared? Before i completely lost it i woke up and tried to pull the plugs and syringe in me....and to say I regretted it was an understatement. Raffaele immediately held me and Damian was screaming for the doctor. I snapped and pushed him away. I didn't know why I was in an hospital. The last thing I remember was holding a gun against my head. "Where is he" The first person I looked for as soon as I woke up was him but he was no where to be seen. I was scared for him, my brothers were capable of doing anything. "He is dead" I couldn't make out who said it because as soon as I heard it my world went black. **************************** Amelia was deceived her whole life. 3 parts Complete Mature

Humanity has unlocked the elixir of eternal life. The brain can be cleaned and washed back into youthfulness. The body cannot. But by transporting the brain to a younger body, one that can host it, it can continue living. The synthetically produced humans are not people. Of course they're not. If they were people then the originally occurring humans would be monsters for killing them and transferring originally occurring brains into their bodies. The originally occurring people are not monsters. Of course not. They just want to live. And to save something you need to kill something. The synths are a necessary sacrifice. ----- Ika has heard what the originals think about the synths. But she also knows her own heart, and her own grief, and her own terror.
