Octavia Helding is an outgoing, adventurous sixteen-year-old eager to do anything it takes to just explore and have fun. Living in a beautiful age-old cabin house on the shores of Tofino, B.C. able to surf all day every day, life couldn't get any better, could it?
When Octavia's father, Thomas Helding, a very well-respected pilot is killed in a crash landing, Octavia's family slips into a mess of financially unstable chaos. Quinn works a million part time jobs to try and support Octavia and her brother, Alex. Alex comforts his girlfriend's family while her mother is dying of an incurable cancer. Octavia sells her beloved belongings. But their bank account keeps going down, down, down, down.... Until eventually, they're broke.
When word of a way to get money, a hell load of it comes around the block, Octavia is determined to get it for her family. It would be able to support them for the longest time. Or at least, until Ovtavia and Alex could get jobs of their own.
But there's one small problem... A storm and a little bit of an airline mix-up. So when Octavia's flight to Africa is replaced with one to a beautiful Nordic country, and all outside communication is shut down, it's up to her to survive. And for real this time. But she isn't alone. What would you do, if you had to choose between life, or love?
