Faith Victoria Strider has been called a hybrid, a mixed blood, a dirty mutt, a mistake. Her parents were killed because she was born. At six she went into hiding, living with another pack and under the name, Luce Hunter. Her uncle sent her there, as the Alpha was a family friend, promising her uncle that he would protect her. The pack doctor giving her animal blood as the cravings started when she was 13.
She keep to herself, staying away from people. She trained with the pack and ate with them but she didn't talk with any of them. At school she's seen as a loner but everyone knows better than to mess with her. She was fine living without relying on anyone, but then her mate notices her and won't leave her be. Luce tries her best to reject her mate, but Katie Walker, the daughter of the Alpha of the pack Luce is staying with, won't take no for an answer. Then to make matters worse Luce's hunger for blood starts to grow drastically, and old enemies appear threatening Luce's life and anyone involved with her.
