Chrom is the proud co-owner of the Shepherds' Medical Firm. He enjoys the crazy-calm routine of Manhattan life and could not be any more excited for the holidays. He gets to spend it with his friends and family, after all. Anna is a protege student who just graduated from Psychology School early. She has been out of her home city of Manhattan for her entire college career and had two reasons to return home: to spend time with her mother and sister for the holidays, and the job offer to become the in-house psychologist to an up-and-coming medical firm. The offer is almost too good to be true, seeing as that most of her childhood friends work there and it is run by her old best friend. Chrom is overjoyed to see Anna once more and to have the opportunity to say the feelings he has had in his heart for many years. However, not everything could be perfect. That was not the only job offer Anna was given. Would she take the job with the Shepherds and be with her friends once more, or would she move all the way across the country and they lose her forever? Strange things begin happening. Creatures came through a portal in the sky. Called Risen, they now plague the land, and they don't fear death. Their journeys leading them against great evils over many years. She learns of the value of the ties she has to people not through blood. She forages a family and a path all her own. Chrom: is optimistic as he meets a stranger in the fields. No matter their struggles, with the stranger 'Marth' who saves them from danger, the strange Creatures and Plegia. Chrom and Lissa still loose their older sister Emmeryn, resulting in Chrom and his new wife becoming rulers of Ylisse. The stranger who constantly shows up just in time, bears the mark of the exalt, and Chrom learns of a disturbing destiny in a dark future. The Shepherds and the new Exalt race to protect the future and everything they hold dear. Lucina: has come to the past to protect the future. She tries to avert the events that lead to her destroyed future with the deaths of her parents, as well as the resurrection of the Fell Dragon Grima. Though, traveling back she learns that her task of changing the future is daunting and not as easy as averting a single event. Time favors it's original course.
