Maya Sayers lives in one of the most powerful and advanced cities of the Celestial Empire: Northern Willsden. The city declared a new law that all citizens of Northern Celestial need to be married by the age of 19 so the population would grow. Maya did not want to have a fixed marriage. She did want to end up with some rich guy with nasty ways for getting what he wants- and ends up being a traitor, too.

Isaac Johnson does not want to get on some fixed marriage crap. All he wanted to do was go down to Southern Celestial so he can pick who he gets to marry. He tries to ask his parents to move to S.C. but they say that he needs to 'man up.' So he does that by saving a girl from the guy she was supposed to marry. Well, tries to anyway.
