Within the dark pine trees and marshes of ShadowClan, two kits are born. StarClan believes one of them holds a special destiny. 

Mottlekit is jealous of her sister, Lilykit. Lilykit has tons of friends, isn't scared of the dark, and she is favored by their father. But this tiny kit may be the one StarClan has chosen to face the prophecy... if she can find out what it means.
