Monsters

"Erm, Kathrine?" Mathias whispers nervously. I turn around, sword raised at a dangerous angle, looking at him. "Did I mention. ... I Erm, you know ... love you, sis. Seriously. Now, let's go kill that monster." He coughs and walks off; and I pull him into a bear hug.
"Don't cry on me now. After this, I have a list of things you owe me for. Now,let's kick ass." I laugh, and he tells me not to swear. Then we hear the monster, and we spin. We wait, we wait, we wait and then suddenly we see it.
A monster.
And it wasn't under the bed.
It was going to kill us.

With their dad in Australia, Mathias, and his younger sister Kathrine move to a new town, surrounded by thick woodland and a population of just over 400. And when they venture to the Unknown Forest where no-one should go, they meet the monsters....... and the Nightmare...
