In Riley waters case, it was the turning point in her life.
This was the year hard times revealed true friends. This is also the year she gives someone her heart in hopes that they'll hold it tight, as if it's their own, and she'll be continuously challenged by her new life.
After all, she did want to be treated like an adult, she was determined to become independent but sometimes it can be too much to handle for such a young being.
However, Things got way more interesting when she found out she was falling for her professor.
Life suddenly became more interesting and a hell of a lot more fun.
