This story is about a girl who discovers that she posses strange powers after her house mysteriously catch's on fire. She goes on a journey with her best friend who has also developed new skill's, to find out how and why they have them. She doesn't know that by seeking out the answers, she starts a wave of hope among a deserted town inhabited by living shadows. This hope could cause a war and the only way to keep it from coming is to destroy their hope, and Avalon is not sure she's ready to do that.
